Amsterdam Schiphol Airport serves most major European airlines. From here you can easily Taxi or Train to the venue.
• Taxi’s to the venue
Taxi’s from Schiphol Airport to the venue cost approximately € 40. Travel time approximately 20 minutes.
• Train to Amsterdam Science Park
The train station is situated directly underneath the passenger terminal. First take a train to Amsterdam Central Station and then change for the local train in the direction ‘Lelystad’ or ‘Almere’ for two stops and get off at: “Amsterdam Science Park”. Usually trains depart every half hour. Once you arrive at Science Park, exit the station and take the tunnel leading underneath the rail tracks. After 700 meters you’ll find the venue at your right hand side. Total Travelling Time to Venue: 40-50 minutes. Costs: 4 Euro
• Other Airports
Besides Amsterdam Schiphol Airport there are two more distant airports that serve low-cost airliners Ryanair and Wizzair. Traveling thru these gateways can be an economic alternative.
1. Eindhoven Airport: http://www.eindhovenairport.com. Take the bus to Eindhoven train station (busses run every 10 minutes), and travel directly to Amsterdam by train. Total Travel time from airport to Amsterdam is about 2 hours. Costs: € 21.
2. Weeze Airport (Germany): http://www.airport-weeze.de. Mini busses shuttle to Nijmegen every hour (45 minute trip). From Nijmegen you can train to Amsterdam in 1,5 hours. If you choose this airport, please make sure to book the shuttle bus beforehand http://www.taxi-hottgenroth.de/en/fahrplan.htm#shuttle. Estimated travel time from airport to Amsterdam is 3 hours. Costs: € 33.
BY CAR
• Car parking options in Amsterdam

P+R car park
You can park your car in one of the P+R locations (P+R = Park and Ride) just outside the city centre for € 6 per day (with a maximum of four consecutive days), and continue your journey on public transport. Your car is parked in a guarded car park and public transport return tickets are included in the price. P+R Zeeburg is located closest to the workshop venue. On-street parking & Parking Garages
NB. there is free parking at the venue
For on-street parking different tariffs apply throughout the entire city varying from € 1,40 up to € 5 per hour. At the workshop venue a € 2,40 tariff applies from Monday to Saturday between 9 AM and 9 PM. There are also several parking garages in the city, with tariffs varying from € 25 up to € 34,00 per day.

Public Transportation in Amsterdam
• Ticket sale: the OV Chip card for Metro, Bus, Tram (and optional also for Train)
The Amsterdam public transportation system uses an electronic chip card. This bank-size card can be loaded with credit in Euros, or with a travel product such as a single or season ticket. You can load these products onto your card using your bankcard and PIN code, at the station vending machine, or at your public transport company’s ticket office. Make sure you check both in AND OUT! when using Bus, Metro, Tram or Train by holding your card up to the screen at the gate. The sound and light signal indicates your card has been read. For Bus, Tram and Metro the Chip card is the only accepted ticket. For trains you can choose to use either the Chip card or a paper ticket.
• To venue: Shuttle Bus 40 between Muiderpoort Station & Amstel Station
